We are thrilled to present restagings of Trisha Brown Dance Company's iconic works Accumulation (1971) and Locus (1975) by former company members Brandi Norton and Tara Lorenzen. Curated by Olga Dekalo and presented in partnership with River Valley Arts Collective, the performances mark the fourth staging of dance in Held's historic studio. Brandi Norton's reconstruction of Accumulation will engage Held's largest black and white painting in the foundation's collection, Noah's Focus I (1970), while Tara Lorenzen will perform Locus in the outdoor landscape Al Held designed over a forty year period. Norton and Lorenzen were part of the first-ever dance performance staged at the Al Held Foundation (Jodi Melnick's Privet in 2023) and we are delighted to welcome them back.
Join us Sunday, September 28, for the performances and tours of the current River Valley Arts Collective exhibitions featuring work by Lauren Anderson, Linnéa Gad, Mikayla Patton, and Rachel Mica Weiss. Please click here to RSVP.
